Curtis, born to Carmencita Ojales from Bolinao Pangasinan in Australia as well as James Ernest Curtis Smith an Australian lawyer born on the 25th of July 1970, at Yarrawonga. Her father, James Ernest Curtis Smith was married to Ojales back in 1982. Her older brother Jasmine was also an actress. Their father was an older half-sister named Clare died in 2007 aged four months due to cardiovascular disease.
